Friday October 25th Labor History Potluck
Labor history Potluck! This is going to be so good. We will have a brief tour of the training facilities of UA290 and a history of three generations of Union Organizing with Drew Waits. Followed by other special guests: Mark Brenner Co-author of “Secrets of a Successful Organizer” he will have copies of his book to sell. Josh Huertz will discuss the union forward podcast that he has been producing. We will watch the documentary, “Brothers on the Line” A Union made film! This is a family friendly event and would be perfect for high school or middle school age children. The Film highlight the labor struggles of the 40’s and 50s as well as the formation of the AFL-CIO and the broader impact into social and economic justice.
