Have you noticed how vibrant the leaves are right now? It’s a kaleidoscope of color, and we’re so lucky to be here. For the 11th year, the Community Peace Meal will go on! We’re so pleased to tell you that the location of the Thanksgiving community meal this year will be in Pioneer Hall AND the Community Center!
There are a number of things that must fall into place in order to pull this off every year, but we happen to be surrounded by some of the kindest peopleand most giving people anywhere.
One important thing to note is that when the buildings were remodeled, the stoves were removed and are not being replaced. So, all food must be ready to eat, and we’ll figure out some creative ways to keep things warm. Please heat up your dish as close to drop off time as possible.
The meal will be served from 11-1, so please drop off food at around 10:30 am, and all food can be delivered to the community center, so we can stage everything.
This is the biggest meal of the year. We expect to serve 300+ people, including home deliveries for folks who lack transportation. All leftovers will be served at the Friday Peace Meal, so if I over-estimate anything, it’s all good in the end.
