The Ashland City manager has declared a severe weather emergency and has authorized the opening of an emergency shelter beginning Saturday evening, Feb. 11, the shelter will close on Sunday morning and reopen on Monday evening, Feb.13.
The shelter will remain open through Friday, Feb. 17. The shelter may be open beyond the 17th depending on the weather conditions. If that is the case, the City will provide updated information on the City’s website.
The severe weather shelter will be open from 5 p.m. to 9 a.m. at 48 Fifth Street. The doors will close for the night at 9 p.m. with lights out at 10 p.m. This is a no-frills shelter, which means individuals should plan on providing their own bedding. Well-behaved pets are welcome.
