CENTRAL POINT, Ore. — An Amazon warehouse is coming to Central Point, with construction to begin August 7.
“It’s happening,” Central Point Mayor Hank Williams told NewsWatch 12. “There’s going to be one, it’s going to be in the area over by Costco, and I understand that local contractors have done things like the groundwork.”
Williams said he was notified of the project yesterday.
“The project (is) going to start construction August 7th and an underground contractor, the company out of Arizona, will be building the structure,” Williams said.
The City of Central Point fielded two applications from BH DevCo of Phoenix, Arizona last November to build an 85,000 square foot storage warehouse and ground distribution facility on 17.87 acres in the industrial zoning district. The project site address is 3791 Table Rock Road.
