SOJWJ community support during COVID 19 crisis

SOJWJ is working hard to support our community during the COVID 19 crisis. Along with our community partners, we’ve been able to provide meals 7 days a week to our most vulnerable neighbors as well as provide other basic needs such as clothing, first aid supplies, camping gear, masks and water.

Donations and community support has empowered us to keep a warming center open in the early mornings, five days a week. Our “boots on the ground” activism enables us to problem solve many basic needs. The warming center at 48 5th Street in Ashland has become a stable force in a community where that is sorely needed. We’re providing emotional and mental health support.

Donations can be dropped off on Thursdays and Fridays between 12 and 5 pm. to 48 5th Street in Ashland. We need pre-packaged foods, fruits, bread, eggs, milk and canned foods. We are also collecting clothing, sleeping bags, tents and other outdoor gear.

Questions, please call 541-841-8341. We are stronger when we work together.
