Food Truck Project: Pledge Match up to $14K

SOJWJ is looking for a food truck.

For years, the SOJWJ has been serving the peace meals, using Ashland’s Pioneer Hall and other locations in Lithia Park — they want to keep doing so but also recognize there are some limitations.

Using a food truck is the best option.

A food truck helps solve several issues; food safety, not running out of food, being able to continue to pull in our unhoused neighbors so they can prepare food and help keep everything going and more.

The Ashland Community Foundation has pledged to match up to $14,000 — which is an amazing thing.
More information is forthcoming but donations are needed. It doesn’t need to be much. Just consider donating what you can.

Vanessa Houk, the Peace Meal coordinator, has said: “You’ve heard me say that we must take better care of each other. Let’s do this for our hungry neighbors. Love in action.”

Donations can made via PayPal (jason@sojwj.org is the email for that) or send a check to Southern Oregon Jobs with Justice or SOJWJ 258 A Street Box 1-220, Ashland OR 97520.

Thank you.
