It’s almost time for one of the best gatherings of the year. The 10th annual SOJWJ Thanksgiving peace meal feast will be held in Calvin Hall at the Ashland First Presbyterian Church (1615 Clark Ave, Ashland, on the corner of Walker and Siskiyou).
The event is from 10 am to 2 pm. The meal will be served from 11 am to 1 pm.
There are a number of pieces that fall into place in order to pull this off every year, but we happen to be surrounded by some of the kindest and most giving people anywhere, so I know it will be a beautiful day.
Volunteers can sign up HERE on Eventbright. In past years, we’ve had separate sign up sheets for food donations, and for those who want to give their time. I’m shaking things up, and trying to put everything together this year. I do have a separate Eventbright event, so we can hopefully get a rough idea of how many folks are coming for dinner.
